Dios Escucha – “God Listens”, from Jeremiah 33:3, is our theme for the mission trip this year. God listens to the cries of His people when they call out to Him for help and redemption. God listens when we cry out to Him for comfort in the midst of painful circumstances. God listens in the midst of the confusion of a broken world. We as Christians also need to listen to the voice of God. I have just completed the twelve week study Experiencing God. It was a very opportune time as we are planning for our mission trip to Mexico. The third reality in the study is how God invites us to become involved with Him in His work – to see where God is working and join Him there. God is definitely at work in Guerrero and surrounding communities through the faithful saints of Iglesia Bautista Misericordia and Pastor Pedro Tobias. Pedro once shared with me how he felt so blessed of God in that God chose him from among many to come to minister in Guerrero. I can’t help but feel the same way in that First Baptist Church Sheridan is blessed to be called as part of this ministry. This is our seventh year to go to Mexico and it is a faith building experience to see how God is at work building His Kingdom through a group of believers that have very little resources except a willingness to be available in any way God can use them. We are fulfilling a part of our Acts 1:8 commitment as we provide the resources to enable Pedro and his church to minister not only in Guerrero but the surrounding communities of Paras, Agualeguas, and La Escondido. Please continue to lift up our partnership with the church at Guerrero In prayer. We hope to update the blog every evening and look forward to your response.

I've been praying for you all in your preparations and that God will move in a mighty way while you are there.
Have a safe trip and hopefully, God will smooth the way for you to cross over with all you need.
God Bless you all.
